SuperStreet Nationals -
02-11-2008, 11:46 PM
I know all the details aren't done for Clary's this season, and the nationals would to a long ways away, but I need to get this out while its fresh on my mind. On LRC's sim racing forum(simfans) there are alot of guys that run the sim racing game that also run, or help/related to someone who runs superstreet around Ohio/penns, area. I talked to several of em in the chatroom tonight who showed alot of interest in coming to Clary's if they have the nationals again this season. They didn't even hear about it last season. So I know its early, but whoever runs the track needs to keep this in the back of their minds, with the limited time Nash Brick had last season to get everything out they still had one heck of a turnout, just think what it would be like if you get everything finished early and start promoting it early in the season. Plus, maybe not run EVERY class that night and couple it with a somewhat big SLM race(don't have to go crazy with the purse, just add a lil extra) this event could be BIGGER(hard to beleive after last years) then ever.
Just something to think about, Brett |

yea and also on that alot of people dont show for 1st time events cause it could be a FLOP which it was a good turnout last year the NAtionals would be great this year with the 2nd annual nationals alot more would show year aafter year if clarys is open that long just dont go crazy with it like the 20,000 to win race that is what really put clarys in the hole allso the payout has to be good but good idea if every thing goes good

I would agree with that. Superstreets and slm's do the best shows anyways.

Hope I'm not one of those "They". If you guys wanna drop 100K on em I'm all in(attendance wise, not helping foot the bill) all I was saying was I wouldn't over shadow the super street by paying them $5,000 and paying the lates $8,000 or so, but I would up the purse a little. Whether or not anyone makes a profit or not is non of my business.

But anyway, IMO all you would need is the Super Streets and Super Late Models. The two best IMO... |

I agree with just the 2, if you were to run another class I'd maybe try and bring out something new, maybe like an Open Wheel modified, or sportsman/limited late model(I know they had a good turnout of those last season when they up'd the purse for em) or those little sprint things whatever they are. More likely for more outsiders to come in for shows like that and give the fans something new to watch as well.

I agree with that somewhat, I'd do a two day show, but unlike last year rather then running all the features Sat, I'd run all the featues but the ss and slm Firday somewhat early, and just let them practice afterwards, then then run the full show for them Sat. Give people more of a reason to come both nights, rather then just coming to watch the practice and qualify Friday, give me a show.
