Undate Crate Late-Models - 02-09-2008, 03:40 PM

Ok guys I need some help here please.
I need to know all the Crate drivers that plan on racing at RTR if we are not sanctioned by Fastrak.

And I also need to know any drivers that will be running at RTR if we were to get Fastrak sanctioning.

We are looking at going each way closely, and driver input will play a part in the decision. By Fastrak changing it's structure this year RTR might play a part in helping out local drivers.

Thanks Dennis, appreciate the reply. With the other track going Fastrak, we are wondering now with the changes Fastrak has made in there points deal if it would benifit RTR guys by us going Fastrak.
Looks like it might help the class, we would like to know what the racers think.

Well everyone knows I always have an opinion, and here it is.

I think Fastrak sanction just makes everything go smoother. Points, Rules, everything is the same for everyone.

The only other thing is tires. With 311 going to be Goodyears only along with Wythe and Princeton. Most teams will only have to have 8-10 tires ready. Last year I had 28 tires mounted and ready, Hoosier (3 compounds) American Racer (1 compound) and Goodyear (2 compounds). So I think that is the biggest issue.

I don't have a dog in this fight yet
but looking and wanting one. (604)
cant afford the 5g spot right now.
I'm guessing not all the guys who
might run R T R are not watching
this sight (there loss) call 'em, they
might not know whats going on. Is there
a problem with the Good Years., Thats
what 90% of the crates within 150
miles are running or you could try it
for 2 or 3 races if you get no support
drop the sanctioning then you could
work the tire deal, the 38s are softer
may or may not be faster you could
run both so as not to leave anyone
out. test them on a crate add or take
wt accordling I know its getting close
to racing time but it's an importaint
decision to make.. I'll try to get the
word out.. R T R the place to be in 08 .

Thanks 99, that's kinda where we are at. If it can possible help you guys out we need to atleast look at it.

Jason, Gary and me had the same tire discussion Saturday, so as bad as I hate to admit it, we are thinking alike on this one...lol....

And JoJo I know what you are saying, as we've talked too. We'll try to have a decision on this and a couple of other things by Saturday.

I agree with what everyone else is saying I am sure you will have more drivers if you go Fasttrak because it makes everything look better on you. With that said I am sure Chase McCormick will be racing up there some this year. I also assume the guys from Cook Cleaners that race sometimes at Wythe will race along with Phill Gann. I am not sure what it will cost the Track to get sanctioned but I am sure it couldnt hurt any.

We will be running for fastrak weekly points so the only way we would probably come is if you were with fastrak.

Wayne,Use the info cards collected and call the crate owners/drivers.This is too big an issue to rely on someone finding it on the 'net.
