HEAT: 1) Dan Schlieper - Earl Pearson Jr 2) Jackie Boggs - Brandon Kinzer 3) Jake Redetzke - Justin Rattliff 4) George Scheffler - Bart Hartman 5) Homer Leonard - Peter Mantha Heat One; A red-flag came out on lap two after Earl Pearson Jr. rolled his 44-car three times between turns three and four. The word from a track official is that Pearson Jr. is alert an conscious, and is currently being taken to a local hospital for observation. A medi-vac helicopter was flown in, but not needed. As for the race itself, Dan Schlieper cruised to the win, while Justin Ratliff slid past Jackie Boggs on lap six to take the second spot. Finish: (1) Dan Schlieper, (2) Justin Ratliff, (3) Jackie Boggs, (4) Brandon Kinzer, (5) George Scheffler 2nd HEAT: 1) Tim McCreadie - Clint Smith 2) Steve Francis - Rick Eckert 3) Ricky Elliott - Eddie Carrier jr. 4) Don O'Neal - Dennis Erb Jr 5) Bobby Geiger - Patrick Sheltra Heat Two; Pole-sitter Tim McCreadie was never challenged, as he easily led all ten laps en route to the heat two win. Behind him, Friday night winner Clint Smith held off a charge from Steve Francis to secure the runner-up spot. But Moyer, winner of two events at Volusia already this week, shot past the Newport, Tennessee driver in turn two of lap two to take the top spot. Behind him, Darrell Lanigan secured the final transfer spot from Brian Shirley early in the race, and was never challenged from there. The ninth lap proved to be the most pivotal, as Ricky Elliott wrestled his way past Brandon Kinzer, then held off Rick Eckert to hold onto the final transfer spot . The 50-year-old Hall of Famer from Batesville, Ark., started outside the front row and outdueled Josh Richards and Chub Frank for a $10,000 victory in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series event. Frank, who started 11th, settled for second with the fourth-starting Richards, who won Thursday's WoO opener, finishing third. Jimmy Owens and Friday night winner Clint Smith rounded out the top five at the D-shaped half-mile track near Daytona. Polesitter Tim McCreadie lost control in turn one on the 40th lap while battling for third and ended up 12th. Moyer's sixth Florida Speedweeks victory tied Don O'Neal's record set in 2002. O'Neal won four races at East Bay Raceway Park and two at Volusia while Moyer split his victories with three apiece at each track. Both drivers made 11 starts. Since failing to make the Feb. 5 feature event at East Bay, Moyer was been virtually unstoppable with his victories in nine starts. Even during his non-winning performances, the 2005 WoO champion logged a pair of runner-up finishes and a third-place finish.
