A car kicks up dust while running on a dirt track

North Carolina · The Carolinas · The Southeast

We cover dirt and asphalt.

Local Race Chat was a state of the art news and message board in North Carolina, and a community of dirt and asphalt fans. From 2005 into 2016 it carried race news, results and argument from thirty four short tracks across the Carolinas and the Southeast.

This site is an archive restoration. Local Race Chat closed in 2016. The board is not live, no accounts are being taken, and nothing here accepts posts. How this was rebuilt.

What Local Race Chat was

A short track board, run by the people who went to the races

LRC ran on a vBulletin board with a news portal on the front page. Track operators posted schedules, racers argued setups in the tech section, and results went up the same night they were run. It was regional, unglamorous and busy.
